Anna Bednarczyk is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Graduate of MA program in Sustainable Urban Governance and Peace at the University for Peace and Sociology at the Jagiellonian University. Recipient of Sylff fellowship at the Housing and Habitat Research Institute in Córdoba, Argentina. For her master thesis she researched urban and social transformation of public spaces in Medellin, Colombia, Currently, she develops a research project on the intersection of care and safety, focusing on young women in Argentinean cities. She researches the concept of collective practices of care and feminist perspectives on urban safety.
