Bijoy finished his PhD in Cinema Studies from the School of Arts and Aesthetics at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in 2018. His thesis explored the works of Chris Marker, Alain Resnais and Agnes Varda as Left Bank filmmakers and looked at the experiences of memory, history and time in their works.
