Michael Finnegan is a Ph.D. student in Economics at the University of Michigan. His fields of interests are economic geography, trade, and development. One current research interest he is pursuing is the persistence and path dependence of developmental outcomes arising through trade. Before coming to the University of Michigan he was a Research Assistant at The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. He obtained a B.S. in Economics and Mathematics and a M.A. in Economics from the University of Alabama.
