Attended a winter course in migration studies co-organized by the Calcutta Research Group, Rosa Luxembourg Stiftung and Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) Vienna (2020). Visited UN-IOM Nepal Mission as part of a national research scheme to study their country strategy on environmental migration (2020). Co-organized the JU-Sylff LANS Workshop (2019). Won Sylff Fellowship (2018).
Moitrayee completed her BA (2015), MA (2017), and M.Phil (2019) at the Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University. She has taught Political Science to undergraduate students at Victoria College in Kolkata for six months from 2017 to 2018. She was an M.Phil Fellow at Sylff from 2018 to 2019. She has assisted on a research project on environmental migration as part of a national research scheme from 2019 to 2020.
Her research interests include international relations theory, environmental policy and the environment-climate change-human mobility nexus. Moitrayee likes traveling, reading and learning new languages. She learns French at Alliance Francaise du Bengale.
