Obby Taufik Hidayat is an assistant professor at the Pancasila and Civic Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS). His passion for civic education, leadership development, global citizenship and service learning has led him to become an accomplished lecturer, researcher and global citizen. Received his Bachelor's degree in Education in Civic Education from the Faculty of Social Science Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (Bandung, Indonesia) in 2014 and later completed his Master of Education degree in Civic Education at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia in 2017 and later pursued his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. His academic excellence earned him to received prestigious Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (Sylff) fellowship program award from the Nippon Foundation fand Tokyo Foundation for Policy Research. As the Sylff awardee, he has opportunity to develop his research and leadership skills.

Academic Achievements, Social Engagement Initiatives: 
He has been selected to attend some international relation projects and conferences in Harvard University (Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States), University College London, (London, United Kingdom), Joetsu University of Education (Niigata, Japan), University of Vienna (Vienna, Austria), National Institute of Education (Singapore) and Hongkong. Obby Taufik Hidayat has made significant contributions to his field of research, which focuses on Pancasila and civic education, global civic education, curriculum & learning, and service learning. He has collaborated with colleagues from various universities, both nationally and internationally, to publish papers in several National and International journals indexed by Sinta or Scopus as well as two books. In addition, his dedication to social responsibility has earned him multiple award and research and personal development grant, including part of a network of outstanding students at 69 leading universities in 44 countries around the world from Sylff (Japan), fundamental research grant from Ministry of Education, Malaysia and so on.
