Rosanne Jocson completed a PhD in Developmental Psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She received a Sylff fellowship in 2008–2010 for an MA in Psychology at Ateneo de Manila University. Using an SRA grant, she conducted a study in the Philippines identifying risk and protective factors that contribute to the psychological well-being and parenting of mothers and fathers living in low-income urban neighborhoods. She is currently a Research Scientist at the Centre for Research in Child Development at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. Dr. Jocson's research is focused on the role of parents and teachers in facilitating holistic development in young children. She translates this work into interventions, tools, programs, and policies that can be applied to family settings, schools, and community services.
