Saipul Hamdi is a senior lecturer on Islamic Studies at The State Islamic Institute of Samarinda, East Borneo. He got his PhD from Center for Religious and Cross-Cultural Studies, Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia. His research focus on social conflict, terrorism and radicalism, and Islamic transnational movemen of Tablighi Jamaat in Southeast Asia. He published two books and few articles. Now he also appointed as Director of Ali Dachlan Center in Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat.
