Xinran Wang is a faculty member at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, City University of New York. She received her PhD in Strategy, Entrepreneurship, & Organizations from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, and an MPhil in management from Lanzhou University, where she was awarded the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fund Fellowship (sylff). Dr. Wang’s research is centered on the challenges faced by firms and constituents during times of uncertainty. Her passion lies in exploring topics such as social evaluations, crisis management, decentralized media, and digital transformation. She uncovers theoretical mechanisms in her research using massive, complex, and unstructured datasets. Dr. Wang's research has received recognition through best paper awards from prestigious academies, including the Academy of Management (AOM), Strategic Management Society, and the Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation. Her work has been featured in notable platforms, including AOM Insights, the AOM YouTube channel, local business magazines, and influential blogs.
